Antigen:

Human GLP-2 (hGLP-2) is a peptide hormone of the glucagon-family produced by the L cells of the intestial mucosa and originates from the same prohormone as glucagon. GLP-2 has been shown to be an important growth factor for the intestinal mucosa.

Synthetic peptide coupled to diphtheria toxoid with glutaraldehyde

Specificity:

HYB 006-02 is specific for hGLP-2. Cross-reactivity with GLP-2 from other species has not been determined.

HYB 006-02 reacts with hGLP-2 in sandwich ELISA on tissue extracts. Produced from peptide H-His-Ala-Asp-Gly-Ser-Phe-Ser-Asp-Glu-Met-Asn-Thr-Ile-Leu-Asp-Asn-Leu-Ala-Ala-Arg-Asp-Phe-Ile-Asn-Trp-Leu-Ile-Gln-Thr-Lys-Ile-Thr-Asp-Arg-OH Proglucagon (126-159) (human); Preproglucagon (146-179) (human) from Bachem AG. HYB 006-02 also reacts with hGLP-2 directly coated onto the microtiter well.
